Answer:

If you bought a 12 month membership on the old platform, you have received a further 12 months (from beginning April 2020) on the new platform (regardless of where you were in your original subscription).

If you bought a 2 or 3 year membership, you have received a further 2 or 3 year membership on the new platform (from beginning April 2020).

 

Question: Why is my logo displaying so small?

Answer:

There is very limited space for the logo and if you have any “white space” around it, we suggest you crop as much as possible before uploading.

If there is information in your logo, like contact details etc and it is not clear, we suggest you load it as one of your images/photo’s on your landing page as well .

Please understand that the landing page has limited space as it is and we have created the best design possible, so that you are able to display everything of importance on one page…we are not able to increase the size of the logo section.

Question: Can I shorten my affiliate link using bitly ?

Answer:

Yes absolutely, you can shorten it using bitly, just make sure to test the shortened link afterwards to make sure it takes your potential new member to the correct place. 🙂

If you complete a lesson, you get 5 points etc. Please note some quests are still locked and are future additions to the points system, i.e. not available at the moment.

We recommend that you use a different email address for this landing page. When logging in, try using an incognito page and/or clear your cache (so that previous login details are not automatically saved by your device, which could cause login issues).

Question: I posted to the News Feed, why can’t I see my post? Why was my post removed and marked as “abusive”?

All posts to the News Feed need to be moderated and approved.
Please note that advertising your business is not allowed, as per the Group Rules. Promoting is done via the Deals Section and by using the tools taught in the training programme.
The News Feed is for notifications to all members. Remember that you can also communicate directly with your connections, if you need urgent advice.
If you posted more than once, the duplicates will be removed or if you have posted something that is not allowed in the News Feed, it will not be approved and you will receive notification. The term “abusive” is system generated and does not necessarily mean your post was “abusive”, just that it is not allowed in the News Feed 🙂

If you do not have a website, leave this section blank.

Once you have completed your landing page, you can copy and paste your landing page URL and insert it into this field.

It would be a duplication, because someone who is looking at your landing page, does not need to be directed there, but this is mainly a feature for members who have other websites and use the landing page to direct traffic to their main website.

If you have more than one landing page, you could also use this field to direct traffic to your other landing page (a different product or service).

 

 

Question: I am not able to navigate on the site, save any info on my landing page or even if I click or try to select My Dashboard or Find a Course, nothing happens?

Please ensure that you are using Chrome or Firefox or Safari as your browser, we have had members using other browsers that are not compatible (eg we have had some problems with Microsoft Edge).

If you are still experiencing any issues, please try accessing from an incognito page (instructions are in the Help section – search for “incognito”).

Question: May I put a different email address on the landing page than the one I registered with?

That is fine, just remember to check all email addresses related to your registration, if you used a different email address to register vs the one on the landing page, then both those email addresses will be “attached” to your membership.

The one you used to register with, will generally receive communication from us regarding your membership.

The one on your landing page will be visible to potential clients and they will be able to contact you directly via that email address.

Please always remember to regularly check your spam/junk folders as well, for both email addresses, since some SP’s have high-level filters, which automatically send emails to spam.

Question: What are the starting and ending sliding slots for?

Answer:

The sliding slots are for your opening/working hours for every day of the week, please ensure you complete all of these, so potential clients will know what days and times you are available/open for business.

Question: My coupon code or password does not seem to be working?

Answer:

Please make sure that you copy and paste the coupon code or password exactly as is, with no spaces before or after. It is best to copy and paste, to make sure you do not use an “i” instead of a “1” or a “L” etc.

Please also double check your email address when you enter it, as this is where your login details will be sent.

If you do not receive a login email, please also check your spam/junk folder to make sure it has not landed there, and add us to your trusted contacts, so you can receive mails from us in future.

If you are still experiencing a problem, please try to refresh your browser or try from an incognito page or clearing your cache. If you do not know how to do this, please search Google or this help section for further information regarding using an incognito page or clearing your cache.

We also recommend using Chrome as your browser as some others are not compatible with this platform.

Question: I accidentally marked a course complete, can I still watch it?

Answer:

Unfortunately, we are not able to reset a course to “incomplete” we rely on our members to be honest with themselves regarding which courses they have completed (after all, we are all adults and we are not going to “police” members :). If a member chooses to cheat and mark courses complete, which are not actually done, they are only going to be cheating themselves, by not learning anything and wasting their own time and money :(.

You can still watch the course at any stage during your membership period, even if you have completed it before. This feature is really just for you to keep track of where you are and your own progress.

Question: Why can’t I save a portion of the landing page or profile information and come back later to complete the rest?

Answer:

Unfortunately, you are not able to save the landing page/profile until at least the “required” info is completed (marked with an asterisk *), this is so that we do not have landing pages that display strangely on the directory, as we have in the past had members who only complete some information and then they don’t go back 😂…it makes the Directory look unprofessional and incomplete…we hope you can understand.

What we advise members to do, is to make a list of the headings (information needed) to complete the landing page, then make sure you have all the info at hand (especially the “required info, marked with asterisk *) and then when you have 15-30 minutes available, complete the landing page. Remember the first attempt does not have to be perfect, you are always able to go back and update and make improvements. Just always remember to scroll down and “save changes”.

We recommend loading landing page information from a desktop PC or laptop, as not all mobiles are compatible.

If you receive an error message when trying to save, it means there is a section that you have either not completed or you may have loaded incorrect format images or your mobile may be incompatible.

Question: Can I log into a webinar from a mobile device?

It is best to use Chrome or Firefox on Android and Safari on iOS when on a mobile device for optimal experience.
Attendees need to be sure their device is up to date. Those on an iOS device need to be on iOS 11 or higher. If you are receiving any error, please check for available updates.
When you first log into the webinar on an iOS device you will be asked to allow your microphone. Be sure to allow it for you to be able to hear audio from the webinar. Your microphone will not be shared on the webinar.
Click Ok on the first prompt, then click Allow on the next.
Even though you are giving permission for your microphone, you will not be able to talk on the webinar. Once you have given permission, you will be entered into the webinar.
You will experience the full webinar live on any mobile device. If the webinar has a replay available, look out for the replay email two hours after the webinar. You can then watch the same webinar as a replay.
Note: Due to a restriction on iOS, pre-recorded webinars and inserted YouTube video on live webinars may not autoplay. Attendees on iOS devices need to click the play button on the video to be able to view.

Question: Why can’t I find my landing page yet when I do a Google Search?

How Long Does It Take Google to Index a New Site? It takes between 4 days and 4 weeks for your brand new website to be crawled and indexed by Google. This range, however, is fairly broad and has been challenged by those who claim to have indexed sites in less than 4 days.

Question: How do I buy additional landing page(s) and how much per landing page ?

Answer:

We have an option for you to buy additional landing page(s) within the platform.

Once you are logged in, go to your dashboard and landing page section. To the right, you will see a red button marked “buy additional landing page”, click on that and complete the payment.

When you buy an additional landing page, it gets allocated to your current account (all your landing pages are connected to one account) so you don’t need any additional logins.
If you would like to “gift” this landing page, you will need to share your logins with your “giftee” and they would need to set up their page on your account.
We would recommend that if you intend to “gift” a membership, you rather allow your giftee to go through the process of signing up, with their own separate account, so that the logins are different (i.e. rather gift them the amount of the membership and allow them to sign up on the platform themselves).

Question: How many categories/services should I list under?

Please only list under 3 categories/services.

If you would like to list under more than 3, please get another landing page.

Question: Why am I getting fake enquiries or spam email from my landing page contact form?

Answer:

We are sorry to hear if you are experiencing a bit of a “spam” or fake enquiry issue.

It is difficult to control and we have added an article (click on the article link) that you can read for further information about preventing spam…but since nowadays we are all “out there” in the public domain and on social media, sharing our details, so that we are able to drive traffic to our websites and businesses, we think it is best just to try to always be vigilant. Do not ever respond to “spam” mail!

We have included extra security features on your landing page contact forms, to try to prevent “spammers” as much as possible.

Question: How can my clients find me when searching the member directory?

Potential clients can search for you by using a “keyword” (service/category) and location (suburb).

At this stage, clients will not be able to search by your company NAME within the directory (however, searches by company name in Google searches will find your listing and this is the way most potential clients will be searching for your services).

At this stage, it is your goal (by following the guidelines in the marketing/business growth training courses) to drive traffic directly to your landing page.

 

Question: How do I create a link for clients to leave Google Reviews for my business?

To create a link from Google Search:

  1. On your computer, search for your business on Google.
  2. Find your business listing and click Write a review.
  3. Copy and paste the URL you see in your address bar.

If these steps don’t work for you, you’ll need to use the PlaceID Lookup Tool instead.

Create a link using the PlaceID Lookup Tool:

  1. Use the PlaceID Lookup Tool.
  2. Enter your business name in the “Enter a location” field at the top of the map.
  3. Click your business name in the list that appears.
  4. Copy your Place ID, which you’ll see beneath your business name.

Question: How do I create a Youtube channel for uploading videos to my landing page or profile?

Question: How do I add my Facebook, Instagram or Twitter address URL to my landing page?

Answer:

Go to your Facebook page, or Instagram page or Twitter Page, and copy the URL at the top of the page, see this screenshot of The Lions Den URL….then paste it exactly as is into the field for the URL address on your landing page.

Question: May we copy and paste blog posts from our actual blog onto our profiles?

Answer:

Unfortunately, you can’t just copy/paste blog posts from one to the other, but you can make an abbreviated version of the original post, with a link within your post to the original one, to view the full content. Google will still index your blog post (brief version) as long as it’s not a 100% duplicate. Hope that helps answer your question.

Question: My Blog or My Deal page and images are not displaying correctly?

Answer:

Please make sure your images are not larger than 2MB.

Only use .PNG, .JPG or .JPEG images for your blog or deal.

Some mobile devices are not compatible with the technology needed to upload pictures to the platform, if you are trying from a mobile and it is not working, please try from a laptop, desktop or different mobile (ensure you have enough data to download/upload images as well).

If you have followed all the above instructions and your blog or deal page and images are still not displaying correctly please try to clear you cache (log out, clear cache, log back in). If this does not help, please email shumba@thelionsden.co.za

Question: I am having issues or problems paying via Payfast the payment gateway?

Answer:

Payment via Payfast is a transaction between you (the member) and Payfast and unfortunately, we are not always able to assist with these queries, since Payfast is a 3rd party payment gateway.

Question: How do I add, edit or delete images, photos, pics from my landing page?

Answer:

To add images:

Go to “Photo Gallery” in your profile

Click on “Add File”

You can add up to 4 images to your photo gallery.

To remove images:

Click the little cross on the right of the image to delete/deselect it.

Question: I made an EFT payment via the payment gateway, but I have not received my welcome mail?

Answer:
We are glad to hear you are keen to get started 🙂
If you have selected to pay via EFT on the payment gateway, the payment may be delayed by 24-48 hours (usually because of different banks being involved), so we need to give it a day or 2 to clear, then the system will notify us and you will receive the welcome email.
Please first confirm that the funds definitely went off your account.
Once you have confirmed above, please let us know if you have not received a welcome mail more than 48 hours after payment, please remember to check your spam folder in case!

Question: How many images can I upload to the photo gallery?

Answer:

The photo gallery is limited to 4 images.

Question: My client submitted a review, but it is not showing on my landing page?

Answer:

The review system allows reviews to be published automatically and immediately, so if someone says that they submitted a review, then they either didn’t click on the “submit” button or they might not have given it time to actually submit before leaving the “submit a review” page.

What we suggest is:

1.) Refresh your landing page to make 100% sure the review isn’t there, and

2.) If it’s still not there, ask your client to try again and also suggest that they should maybe try from a laptop or desktop PC (if they are using a mobile – some devices are not compatible with the latest technology). This is beyond our control 🙂

Question: When I share my URL on Facebook, my logo is not displaying nicely, it is cut off or cropped?

Answer:

This is a Facebook setting, but there is something you can do to prevent this from happening.

In order for the logo to display in full, Facebook requires the logo to be at least 600 x 315 pixels in size.

If you are able to adjust the dimensions of your logo, please do so.

 

Question: Are there pdf documents or slides of the course content available to download?

Answer:
Since PDF documents or slides can be downloaded by anyone and then the course content would be shareable with non-members (who have not paid), we trust you can understand that this is not possible.
Please remember that the course content will be available to members for the length of the chosen subscription, so you are able to access the recordings at any time during your subscription period.
The course content has copyrights and is only for members ?

Question: I am trying to ……… from a mobile device, but it is not working?

Answer:

If you are experiencing any mobile related issues, eg. access problems, profile update problems, clients submitting reviews from a mobile, etc….

It is very difficult to say exactly what the problem may be, because there are so many devices on the market and not all are compatible with the latest technology..

The best course of action would be that you try from a different mobile device or a laptop or desktop PC instead.

Sorry that we couldn’t be of more help, but sometimes these things are out of our scope of control.

Question: How can we get stats from our landing pages? Could we embed our own Google Analytics ID’s in the landing page?

Answer:

We have implemented Google Analytics for the TLD landing pages, you just need to add your GA tracking ID in your profile.

When you implement your GA tracking code on your landing page, then the website will automatically log events such as form submissions and WhatsApp clicks in your GA reporting section. This requires no setup from your side and will start recording as soon as your tracking code is implemented.

Question: I would like to edit or delete a review, how do I do that?

Answer:
Unfortunately, it is impossible to edit reviews in terms of any changes requested, even spelling errors. Our system does not allow us to edit reviews at all.
It was designed this way for ethical and practical reasons…if you consider the number of members, and times that by the number of reviews..as support, we would spend our days just editing reviews, this is impractical and also beyond our scope of responsibility. It would also raise some serious ethical questions if we were able to edit reviews…
Ultimately it is the member and their client’s responsibility, to ensure that the review is accurate, grammatically and in terms of truthfulness.
To prevent duplicates, please ask your client to wait until they see the confirmation that the review has been recorded, it may take a few seconds to register.

Please understand that this is an important policy (exactly the same as Google and Facebook reviews), in order to maintain the integrity and authenticity of the directory for all members.

You will be able to respond to reviews, eg corrective action or thanking the reviewer.

 

 

Question: What about SEO integration?

Answer:

If you currently have SEO linked on your own website, it is based on your own personal site.

If your current website is not good, then having SEO linked, is a waste.

We already have SEO integrated into this site, you can see from the below example that Google is loving the reviews on these landing pages and is already displaying it on their search results.

We can’t link your SEO from your current website to your landing page.

It is 2 separate platforms, and our SEO is done throughout the site, including the pages of the members.

What we do suggest, is that if your current website is bad, rather focus on driving traffic to your new landing page.

Question: How do I upload a video or FB live videos to my landing page?

Answer:

The landing page can only accommodate Youtube videos or Vimeo videos, but you can download your FB Live video and upload it to your Youtube account, which means you can then link it to your landing page that way.

Just copy and paste the link to your video in the field for videos on your landing page. This can be a Youtube video (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1XtxhkEuwc) or a Vimeo video (e.g. https://vimeo.com/399853676)

Question: Is there a way to put images in the “About” section?

Answer:

The images you upload in your “Picture Gallery” are displayed next to the “About” section.

The “About” section is coded for text only.

We recommend that you use the photo gallery for all images and photos.

 

Question: My images are not very clear?

Answer:
We are not able to assist with making your uploaded images clearer.
The quality of the uploaded image (on your landing page) is completely based on the actual image used and the device used to take the image.
You will need to make sure the image is clear before uploading, by ensuring you upload a High-Resolution image.
If using your own images (not professional ones) we suggest you google “How do I make images clearer?” and perhaps include the device you are using in this search (eg iPhone, etc) as it will greatly depend on the device you use to take the picture.

Question: How do I get “reviews” and can I have more than three?

Answer:

Please ask your clients to leave reviews (simply share the URL to your landing page with them and ask them to complete the “Leave a Review” form) or share your review page URL directly with them so they don’t need to scroll to the review form – it will look something like this: https://www.thelionsden.co.za/listings/yourcompanyname/#review

Please note that your review rating will also determine your position in the “ranking” of your listing (the higher the rating, the higher up your position in the member directory).

Please do not ask friends to add fake reviews as this will negatively impact the authenticity of the Directory for all members, as well as damage your reputation.

We will not delete bad reviews, exactly like the Google and Facebook policy, this is unethical!

You will be able to respond to reviews.

Answer:

This topic (getting traffic to your website/landing page) is covered in some of the course content on the platform.

It is your goal (and responsibility) to drive traffic to your landing page. Ways and methods to do this are covered extensively in some of the training courses, specifically during the training sessions about Platform, Promotion and People.

At this rate and fee that we are charging for membership to this platform and a landing page, and at this point in time, we cannot spend money on marketing the directory, each member is responsible for their page (and driving traffic) until we get funding to help us market the platform. This is ultimately one of our medium-term objectives, as this platform grows and grows 🙂

Question: May my partner have access too?

Answer:

The membership to this platform is for one individual only, not all the owners/partners of a business, or your friends and family.

We trust you can understand that this is a really good deal and if we allowed all partners access as well, we would have to start checking company registration documents, to ensure that partners are legitimate, etc…this would cause an administrative nightmare….and dilute our efficiency to provide extraordinary service to our members.

As the “joining” member, you can obviously share the knowledge gained with your partners during your business meetings.

If we discover that a member has given access to a non-member, we will cancel your membership with immediate effect and no refunds will be given.

 

 

Question: The changes I made to my profile/landing page are not reflecting on my listing?

Answer:
After you have made changes to your profile/landing page, make sure you scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the red “update profile” button to save the changes.
Also, once you have saved the changes, please log out of your profile and then click on the “refresh” button (top left of your status bar, a circle arrow) and then check your listing again to see if this pulls the change through on the directory.

Question: I need an invoice please?

Answer:
The system has a feature that allows you to generate your own invoice.

Select “Listing Profile” and click on “Access your listing Profile”
Click on “My Orders”
Click on “Download Invoice”
If you are not able to see an invoice there, please email shumba@thelionsden.co.za and we will generate it from our side.
Please note that invoices can only be generated after the payment is complete.

Question: My social media links are not showing up on my profile (landing page)?

Answer:

Please make sure you copy and paste the correct URL, test it by clicking through and seeing if the copied link actually takes you to the specific social media platform you are trying to add.

Question: My landing page URL is linked to this platform name, so what does that mean?

Answer:

Your site will always be linked to this platform name. Unfortunately, this is not a platform like WIX, this is a Landing page included in your membership deal, hence the incredible price.

If you already have a website, you can either use the website (landing page) we have to offer you for a specific product, or you can re-direct your current website to your new one on this platform.

How? 

You can contact your current host to assist you with transferring your domain name to the new one that you will get on this platform. ie: Your current domain is www.yourbusiness.co.za and when it redirects to us, it will be www.theplatformname.co.za/yourbusiness

 
To achieve this, the following is needed:
 
– A domain name (e.g. www.yourdomain.co.za)
– A hosting package linked to the domain mentioned above
 
*To redirect your domain to your landing page, simply add a URL redirect to the .htaccess associated with your hosting account. Make sure that the URL you use is the full URL of your landing page (e.g https://www.thelionsden.co.za/listings/yourlandingpage).
 
* It is recommended that your hosting company assist you with this procedure.

Question: I want to change my business name (URL)?

Answer:

The reason it says “change with caution” is because your business name becomes your URL or basically your “landing page address”, so you may direct some potential clients there now and then you change it later, this creates confusion…as the link is no longer valid.

Please only change this if you really need to.

If you have changed your business name on your landing page/profile, then it has changed your URL.
The only way to “correct” this, would be to change your business name back to what it was before or alternatively to redirect the old URL to the new one.
It is only an issue if you have already shared the URL link with potential/clients, those people will no longer be able to find your page by clicking on the “old” URL link. They will still be able to find you via the usual searches (eg Google search, etc).
If you have included the URL link on any advertising (eg business cards etc), it would also need to be changed.
If you absolutely do need to change your business name (URL) and would like to redirect the old URL (business name) to a new URL, please email shumba@thelionsden.co.za for assistance. This service will be charged for.

Answer:

Please make sure your images are not larger than 2MB each.

Click on the red “ADD FILE” button.

Click on the chosen image in your Media Library and click on the red select button (bottom right of screen) or (if the image is not in your media library yet) click on “Upload Files” button (top left).

Click on the red “Select Files” button and choose an image from your files. Click on “open” button.

The image will now be added to your “photo gallery”.

Make sure the image you want is “selected” (has a blue tick mark in top right corner).

Click on the red “select” button at bottom right of the screen.

Your images will be added and remember to click on the red “SAVE CHANGES” button (scroll right to the bottom of your profile) else the images or changes will not be saved.

Question: I can’t find a suitable category/service to list my business under?

Answer:

Please remember that only 3 categories will show up on your actual listing (space constraints), so please only choose 3 categories. If you would like to list under more than 3 categories, please get another landing page.
