Towermaths is a breakthrough in the teaching of mathematics! It does not merely do more of the same better. It does not depend on costly technology. It is affordable and assists teachers as they are teaching the learners.

Towermaths has been developed by professor Koop Lubbinge. (BSc Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Physics, MSc Nuclear Physics) currently professor in Organisational Behaviour and Operations Management of the International Action Learning MBA (IALMBA) of the Business School of Netherland (BSN).
Towermaths is a breakthrough in the teaching of numeracy (mathematics) at primary school level.

About Towermaths International

Towermaths’ methodology helps your child learn abstract mathematical concepts in the foundation phase (Grade R – 3). What makes Towermaths’ methodology different is that it succeeds to stimulate all senses and make learning a fun activity. This unique way of teaching was formulated by Professor Koop Lubbinge with 15 years of research and testing. Professor Lubbinge wanted to share this successful learning system with parents, children and teachers worldwide. By making this contribution to society Prof Koop is striving to ensure that pre-school and foundation phase learners enjoy learning, and have an understanding of the basic concepts of mathematics that will benefit them in their future studies and careers.

What we offer

Our Curriculum is based on improving numerical skills of Foundation Phase Learners. We have our own Towermaths Curriculum and therefore we require the learners to start from the beginning of our program.

Usually the learner starts at Grade R level and proceed to Grade 4. In other cases (when the learner is in Grade 2 to Grade 4) we do a certain program of “Fast Tracking” where learners, who have not started from Grade R, are taken through from the beginning. (This all depends on their ability and numerical skills).
We have found that parents are frustrated because they do not have the correct tools or guidance to teach their children at home during and after Covid-19. And that is why we have developed these 4 options for parents:

Our AT HOME PAKCAGE is perfect for the parent that loves teaching at home. This package is phase 1 of the curriculum. Learners begin their Towermaths journey and need to start from the beginning. Any child in Grade RR, Grade R or Grade 1 can benefit from this package.

PHASE 1 CURRICULUM
The parent receives a PDF document that explains step-by-step what to do with the learner.
The learning support , mentioned in the framework, includes print outs
Phase 1 is the most important part of Towermaths because it is the foundation for learning Maths. (See Prof. Koop’s article on our website at www.towermaths.com)

ONLINE MATH GAMES
Our Online Math Games were developed to support the learner and the parent and home.
It is essential for the learner to practice what has been taught per lesson.
At the end of each lesson there is an indication of what game should be played.
It is an interactive way of learning in a more informal environment where learners can use games to practice over and over until they feel comfortable with the concept.
The learners receive points for every game they play, and the parent will have access to all the results. This will enable the parent to see the learner’s progress in specific skills that is still needed.

VIDEOS TO SUPPORT THE CURRICULUM
Professor Koop is making videos to assist parents at home and to give them background about why they need to teach every concept to their learner no matter what stage or age.
